Weekend Shots!

Looking for some live music in Chicago this weekend? We’ve got you covered. Check out this weekend’s featured show along with a more extensive weekend list below!

THE SMOKING POPES @ Mojoes of Joliet, 9/9

The Chicago-based Smoking Popes got back together in 2005 after a six year break-up. The group, composed at its core of the three Caterer brothers, is known for their punk-influenced pop music and crooning vocals. The Smoking Popes released their sixth studio album, This Is Only a Test, in March, but you can still order their first album, Get Fired (1993), on vinyl through their online store.

If you’re still on the fence about whether or not to go to this show, check out the music video for the Destination Failure (1997) track “I Know You Love Me” below.
