TVD Ticket Giveaway: Pitchfork Music Festival, 7/13-7/15

Pitchfork Music Festival is just around the corner and eMusic has given us a pair of tickets to give to one of our readers.

Since 2005, Pitchfork Media has been bringing some of the nation’s best indie, alternative rock, hip-hop, and rap to Chicago for a killer summer festival. An amazing line-up across three stages (red, green, and blue) on top of this year’s headliners, Feist, Grimes, and Vampire Weekend, helped the 3-day passes sell out in less than a month.

Make sure to check back in with us throughout the week for all of our Friday, Saturday, and Sunday recommendations. Until then, grab the full 3 day line-up along with details on how you can win a pair of tickets to this incredible festival, below.

For a chance to win a pair of tickets good for all three days of the Pitchfork Music Festival, tell us who you’re looking forward to seeing the most this weekend. Check back throughout the week to see our picks for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The winner will be chosen this Wednesday, 7/11.

I really want to see A$AP Rocky, Kendrick Lamar, Schoolboy Q, and Araabmuzik. I saw Araabmuzik last year, and he was absolutely amazing. A$AP Rocky is without a doubt my favorite rapper currently. I can't stop listening to the song "Brand New" ft Schoolboy Q, and would love to see A$AP Rocky and Schoolboy Q preform it.

Definitely Japandroids! "Celebration Rock" is the album of the summer.

I'd kill to see Iceage because they're never in the states. Them, Danny Brown, and Purity Ring!

Definitely Grimes, especially since she is headlining one of the stages.

Sleigh Bells is who I'm hoping to see this weekend

Atlas Sound. Because I'm an enormous Bradford Cox fan and I'm scared to death he's going to let his unstable brilliance get the most of himself and take his own life. So please let me see one of my favorite artists while he's still around and making fantastic, essential music.

Oh man, what an amazing lineup! Fiest, Chromatics, Atlas Sound, The Field.... I must say though, Nicolas Jaar is who I'm most looking forward since I've never had a chance to catch his amazingness live! (npatten03@gmail)

Personally I'm hoping for a chance to catch any of the HipHop acts this year, most notably Kendrick Lamar, ScHoolboy Q and A$AP Rocky. I hope people understand that those three are playing a large part in the current production of "New School HipHop" and are likely to around and relevant for the foreseeable future. One can only hope their live shows are as interesting as their recorded works.

Japandroids!!!  Celebration Rock is the best freewheeling rock album of 2012 so far, and they're one of the few duos that can easily hold their own on a festival stage.
