TVD Live: Bush at
The Fillmore, 10/17

If you weren’t at The Fillmore in Silver Spring, Maryland on Monday night for the sold out Bush concert, then you probably missed one of the best concerts this year. Led by Gavin Rossdale, the recently reunited ’90s grunge rockers took to the stage shortly past 10 PM, welcomed by the cheers of a packed venue.

With sweat dripping relentlessly, this multi-platinum group was out to prove that they had not skipped a distorted beat during their 10-year hiatus. The high energy, 90-minute set featured the prominent songs from the Bush catalogue, including “All My Life” off of their 2011 release, The Sea of Memories, “Chemicals” (The Science of Things), and “Swallowed” (Razorblade Suitcase).

The encore kicked off with a dirty rock cover of The Beatles’ “Come Together,” which Rossdale sang from the top of both bars on the house floor, and concluded with Bush hits, “Glycerine” and “Comedown.” For anyone debating whether or not to catch this tour, it is an absolute must. With an unforgettable stage presence, and talent that is better experienced live, Bush will definitely top lists for the best concert this year.
