TVD Ticket Giveaway: Jane Birkin at the 9:30 Club, 12/9

Jane Birkin has graced us over the years with talent ranging in both music and film. Her musical beauty has struck a chord with audiences throughout the last four decades from all over the world.

Although Jane Birkin was born and bred in London, she would go on to audition for a French film in 1968. It was from that point Jane Birkin’s musical French roots would be paved.

For many years she had remained geared toward a French audience, until about six years ago in 2006, when she released Fictions. Fictions was packed with enormous music powerhouses, from Tom Waits, Neil Young, and Rufus Wainwright.

In 2008, she went back to her French ways with the self-written Enfants d’Hiver.

Now is your chance to snag a pair of free tickets to see Jane Birkin this Friday (12/9) at the 9:30 Club. Just tell us in the comments below, your favorite foreign artist or band.

To choose only one is difficult, but in the end there was no need to argue with any ridiculous thoughts because it has to be The Cranberries. Why? Day after day, I wake from a zombie slumber, only to realize The Cranberries still linger in my dreams.

The winner will be chosen on Thursday (12/8) at noon.
