TVD Ticket Giveaway: FUN. at Constitution Hall, 1/31/13

2012 has been a huuuuuuuuge year for fun. (Yes, I needed all of those u’s.)  While originally released in September of last year, “We Are Young,” the first single from the trio’s sophomore album, Some Nights, quickly went on to become one of the most ubiquitous and commercially successful songs of the year after it was covered by the cast of Glee.

To date, “We Are Young” has been certified five-times platinum and is still on heavy radio rotation, while “Some Nights” debuted at number 3 on the Billboard 200 and has sold nearly 700,000 copies since its February release.

It seems that fun. has no intentions of slowing down anytime soon.  It was announced this weekend that the trio would be performing on Saturday Night Live on November 3rd, and, perhaps even more exciting for DMV peeps, it was announced today that the indie pop band will be stopping in the area next year when they take the stage at D.A.R. Constitution Hall on Thursday, January 31, 2013.

While tickets for the show don’t go on sale until this Friday, October 26th, we have your chance to win before you can buy ’em, and have a pair of tickets that we want to give away to someone now.

Want to start 2013 off with a little dose of fun.?  For your chance to win two tickets to the group’s January 31st show, comment below and tell us another band that features punctuation in its name. I’m going to go with Portugal. the Man.

A winner will be chosen this Friday, 10/29 at 9AM before tickets go on sale!

Do accent marks count? How ’bout Sigur Rós, or Björk? Jay-Z also uses a hyphen, so put him on the list.
