TVD Ticket Giveaway: fun. with Tegan & Sara at Merriweather Post Pavilion, 7/20

fun. have started off 2013 with a bang, winning two Grammys last weekend for Best New Artist and Song of the Year for “We Are Young.” Originally released in September of last year, “We Are Young,” the first single from the trio’s sophomore album, Some Nights, quickly went on to become one of the most ubiquitous and commercially successful songs of 2012 after it was covered by the cast of Glee.

To date, “We Are Young” has been certified five-times platinum and is still on radio rotation, along with subsequent singles the title track “Some Nights” and “Carry On,” while Some Nights debuted at number 3 on the Billboard 200 and has sold over a million copies since its release a year ago.

fun. is joined by adorable indie pop twinsters Tegan & Sara this summer for a date at Merriweather Post Pavilion on July 20. The sisters are touring in support of their brand new album Hearththrob, just released at the end of January.

While tickets for the show don’t go on sale until this Friday, February 15, we have your chance to win ’em before you can buy ‘em, and have a pair of lawn tickets that we want to give away to someone now.

Want a little dose of fun.? For your chance to win two tickets to the group’s July 20 show, comment below and tell us another band that features punctuation in its name. I’m going to go with Portugal. the Man.

A winner will be chosen at 9AM this Friday, February 15 before tickets go on sale!

This didn’t win ticketsin the contest for the fun. show last month, but I’ll say !!!.  Again…!!!

  • ChrisO1

I still think !!! is the best possible answer, but I entered that before for the same question and the same band and didn’t win tickets to their show at Constitution Hall, so I’ll go with:
    Godspeed You! Black Emperor
which was changed from their earlier name,
    Godspeed You Black Emperor!
