TVD’s The Idelic Hour with Jon Sidel

Postcard from Fairhope, Alabama:

Dear Dad,

Wow! Happy Birthday! 83—what a trip. I’m grateful to be part of it.

The gulf coast is pretty cool. I like the trees and really enjoy talking to the people. It’s a bit windy and cooler than I expected, but that suits me fine.

As long the rock ‘n’ roll is soulful and I can score a dozen of them BBQ’d oysters, it’s a grand deal. I’ve been working with a singer named Jimmy. Just getting to know him, but it’s safe to say he’s a soulful dude and a real southerner.

Looking forward to seeing you next week in Miami, so until then…I’m “southbound.”

Love always,
Jonathan
