Anberlin – Cities – Tooth & Nail – 2LP – 1000 copies – First time on Vinyl!!

Bad Brains – Pay to Cum – ROIR – 7″ – 1500 copies – in Jacket with Sleeve, plus insert with lyrics sheet included. LIMITED PRESSING! Bad Brains’ debut Pay to Cum 7″ is finally once again available on hot wax, remastered and repressed especially for Record Store Day 2011! ROIR is honored to be working with the Bad Brains to put this 45 RPM piece of punk rock history back on record store shelves. Originally recorded in 1979 at Dots Studio in NYC, and released in 1980 on Bad Brains’ own Bad Brains Records, the single features one of hardcore’s greatest songs… “one of the fastest, most furious songs ever recorded”, according to Filter Magazine. Trouser Press confirms that Pay to Cum is a “memorable… 1:33 of free-fire guitar rage” that established Bad Brains’ “mastery” of hardcore punk. A classic record from legends of the genre!

Bad Brains – God of Love – Maverick – LP + 7″ 2000 copies – ForGod Of Love, Bad Brains’ first album for Madonna’s label Maverick, the original lineup of the group reunited. Ric Ocasek, the producer of their breakthrough Rock For Light, also returned to produce the record. This release includes two previously unreleased demo tracks: “Let’s Make Love” and “It’s Agreeable” on a bonus 7″ vinyl.

Big Star – Third (Test Pressing Edition) – Omnivore – 12″ – 1000 copies – five copies of the original test pressings (courtesy of Jody Stephens) will be inserted into the mix. Which means not only that you can listen to a bit of history—but if you’re lucky you could own it, too. To make things even cooler, those five copies have been signed by Jody, original mastering engineers Larry Nix and Ardent’s John Fry.

Busdriver – ATM – Polyvinyl – 7″ – 1000 copies – on baby blue vinyl – Ass to Mouth b/w Colour Wheel is the first offering from Busdriver’s highly anticipated untitled full-length, a record that has promised to be more daring and genre-defying than any effort he has released previously.

Kate Bush – Hounds of Love Collector’s Edition – Audio Fidelity –10″ Pink Vinyl – 1000 copies – Audio Fidelity, the US company that remastered Kate’s Hounds of Love album last year (in a popular gatefold vinyl edition) is releasing a limited edition 4-track 10″ vinyl Hounds of Love EP, with tracks chosen by Kate, on April 16th. Pressed on pink vinyl, Side 1 features The Big Skyand Cloudbusting and Side 2 features Watching You Without Meand Jig of Life. Audio Fidelity tell me that Kate also personally selected the cover art.

Caribou – Swim Remixes Merge – 12″ Vinyl – 1000 copies –Originally released as a digital-only companion to Caribou’s 2010 release Swim, the Swim (Remixes) double A-side 12-inch features “Leave House (Motor City Drum Ensemble Remix)” plus “Jamelia(Gold Panda Remix)” as well as a code to download the entire 14-track release. Packaged in a European-style black sleeve.

Eric Clapton & John Mayall – Lonely Years Sundazed – 7″ – 1000 copies – Originally issued in a limited edition on producer Mike Vernon’s mail-order-only Purdah label, features the loping Mayall composition “Lonely Years” and the rousing Clapton-penned instrumental “Bernard Jenkins“. Both sides were recorded in October 1965, a few months before the Blues Breakers LP, but released shortly after the album. These two rare vintage gems, sourced from the original mono masters, capture both of these legendary blues masters in an intimate, stripped-down setting.

In 2007, having toured with Radiohead, the Roots, and Wilco, Deerhoof released Friend Opportunity. The album is the first to feature guitarist John Dietrich and features the same line-up as appears on their recently released brand new album Deerhoof vs. Evil.
