Show of the Week: Robert Randolph &
the Family Band at
The New Daisy, 10/28

So, the SOTW is a little different this week. Less indie, more badass musicians. Less Pitchfork, more undeniable feel-good music. Less bull butter, more real-deal cats leaving it all on the stage.

I present to you, o’ readers, Robert Randolph & the Family Band at The New Daisy this Friday night, the 28th. The band is out in support of their new record, Live In Concert, that came out last month.

Mr. Randolph needs no introduction (although I just gave him one.) You only need to see him play one time to recognize the level of pure talent on stage. Just check the video featuring our good friend Luther Dickinson (North Mississippi Allstars, Black Crowes) out after the jump. It’s a little jammy, but just watch a bunch a dudes wax on their instruments.

Why would you not wanna see that live and in person?! Canada’s The Sheepdogs will open Friday night. Tickets are $21 and are general admission. Doors at 7pm, all ages.
