This Saturday night, Erica Falls will honor the Queen of Soul with a hit-packed performance at the fine listening establishment on Canal Street.
Falls has one of the most powerful voices the city of New Orleans has ever seen. She is an in-demand studio singer and solo artist and is currently touring with funk band Galactic as their featured vocalist.
The evening will begin with a set of Erica Falls’ solo material which showcases her incredible vocal chops under the direction of veteran bassist and bandleader Donald Ramsey.
The second, tribute-driven set will feature songs by Aretha Franklin with a taste of Carol King, the composer of one of Franklin’s biggest hits, “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman.” Also expect to hear other songs from the pen of King including Little Eva’s classic “Locomotion.”
