Flogging Molly Live Show at Amoeba Records, 6/2

Thursday June 2nd 6pm –Amoeba Records – San Francisco

The seven-piece powerhouse Flogging Molly is known for their raucous shows and unique, energetic sound that is both feverishly punk and traditionally Irish. Join them in celebration of their new album, Speed of Darkness (out May 31st on SideOneDummy), for a live performance and signing that is sure to be an in-store to remember.

Need a little encouragement to go see the show? I pulled together a few quotes from folks who have seen Flogging Molly’s incredible live performance:

“..infectious, fist-pumping anthems fueled by kinetic energy…..songs that make you want to throw your arms around the douchebag who spent half the night stepping on your foot and the other half spilling his beer on you. C-Notes

“The band was incredibly energetic, and the show was fantastic. The Irish punk thing Flogging Molly does is pretty much infinitely expandable, and I’m sure that it’s a style that’ll allow the band to keep making albums as long as they’d like.”The Pitch

“It was good. Real good. I wasn’t too sure about what to expect from an Irish drinking song punk band combination thingy, but I’ll admit I got into it.” – Downinahole.net

Everything about the show was brilliant, from the venue to the expert musicianship to the impressive merchandise (including a presale option for the new album). I swear, I even saw a leprechaun in the crowd.Knickledger.com

Flogging Molly Fun Fact: Prior to forming Flogging Molly, Dublin-born Dave King was the vocalist for heavy metal band Fastway featuring guitarist “Fast” Eddie Clarke of Motörhead and bassist Pete Way of UFO in the early to mid ’80s.

Have you seen Flogging Molly live before? Are you planning on checking out this special in-store performance at Amoeba?
