TVD Vinyl Giveaway: Wavves, Afraid Of Heights Signed LP and Signed Poster

Post-sloprock poster boys Wavves have just released their fourth album, and every ’90s nostalgia garage fan seems to be at peace.

The rock duo, which now consists of former Reatard Stephen Pope and Wavves’ only mainstay Nathan Williams, have crafted a definitive modern garage rock album fully trimmed with sloppy guitar, depressing lyricism, and a thick VHS-y aesthetic.

This year sees the end of Wavves’ longest album cycle to date. The result furthers the duo’s endeavor to create music with a heavy emphasis on the juxtaposition of the accessibility of the melodies and the purposed sloppiness that ties it together.

So how can you get your hands on an autographed copy, along with an autographed poster? Tell us your favorite band that got their name for a messy sound. Since I’m a fan of pre-2003 Isaac Brock material, I’m gonna have to go with Modest Mouse.

A winner with a North American mailing address will be chosen on Friday, April 12.
