TVD Premiere:
The Anatomy of Frank,
“La Llorona”

“‘La Llorona’ is one of the only songs I’ve written that truly haunts me.”

“Every time I play it, I can taste the claustrophobic desperation that was there when I wrote it—it came around sometime between a trip to South America and this awful frat rape incident in Charlottesville, where I lived at the time.

There’s a lot of myself in the song as well, and that makes it all the more troubling to me I guess. But I think it’s a feeling we can all relate to. Most of us have followed someone down the well at some point, and hopefully we’ve made it out and grown from it.”
Kyle Woolard
