Penguins Kill Polar Bears are heralding in a new wave of post rock.
The Scottish boys have just released their debut album Building Homes From Broken Bones and the sound is one that’s mature beyond their young years, full of sweeping ambient melancholy and passion.
Their last EP “Sapling” was released in 2011 and it’s been a while since Penguins Kill Polar Bears have been on the scene, however, with a slight line-up change and a more honed approach to their music, this debut album feels like just the start of what could be a long and meaningful journey.
“Lungs” and “Scarce” were recently released as free downloads, a little sonic treat for anyone who’s interested in fiery Scottish post-rock. Penguins Kill Polar Bears are ones not to be overlooked!
