The Line-Up with
Space Capone, Tommy Burroughs, Whose Army, and more!

This weekend in Memphis is set for a slew of fantastic local talent.

Old talent and fresh faces alike will be filling ears and creating smiles all over the city. Sounds ranging from hard rock to soft crooners are set to serve stages in many hotspots in the midsouth.

Today’s shows will give you plenty of options for how you’d like to start your weekend off right. Good Luck Dark Star will be getting buck at the Buccaneer Lounge with their unique and spicy take on indie rock. Off-center rock riot Whose Army will be slaying patrons with their deadly sounds when they play the Poplar Lounge with the before the “werewolf metal” of New Science System. Over at Murphy’s, the speedy Deal Me In will play their hand of speedy post-punk in tandem with Pull Trigger‘s (rock) wall of sound.

Good Luck Dark Star

Saturday will bring rainy weather and a steady pace.   David Bazan and will be tearing through his emotionally dense works of heartarche and love at the Hi Tone.

JET, Jimmy Davis, Eric Lewis, Tommy Burroughs will all be creating an equally low-key evening over at Otherlands Coffee Bar. Space Capone will be bringing his unique brand of indie dance music to the Young Avenue Deli to round out the evening and set things to end on a high note.

Memphis keeps things merry this weekend, celebrating local live acts in all their charm. If you’re in town, I hope to see you out and about to support the heart-deep local scene!
