With large crowds attending the first three performances by Nigel Hall and his all-star New Orleans band, the shows now have an opening act.
The British pianist who channels the greats of New Orleans keys like Professor Longhair and James Booker will play two solo sets beginning at 8 PM on the acoustic piano.
Cleary is very much at home at the Canal Street club, and is getting to know Nigel Hall. He recently welcomed him to play with his full band, the Absolute Monster Gentlemen at Jazz in the Park last Thursday.
Hall’s sets with Raymond Weber on drums, Eric Vogel on bass and Derwin “Big D” Perkins on guitar will begin at 11:00 PM.
