Ticket Giveaway! TVD NYC and the MTK Festival Are Sending You to the Hamptons

If you ever thought the Hamptons were just for rich folk with “summer cottages,” you are not entirely wrong. But thanks to our friends at the Music To Know Festival, we’re now making The Hamptons more accessible than ever and with some great music to boot!

Founded by Chris Jones, owner of Sole East Hotel in Montauk, and screenwriter Bill Collage, The Music To Know Festival presented by Bing delivers two days of awesome bands (18 and counting, in fact) plus fashion, lifestyle, chefs, wines and beers, and pop-up shops by the likes of Top Shop, DuMonde, and Duck & Weave. Check out the whole shebang at MTK.com.

Single day tickets go for $110 and a two-day pass is $195. Sounds steep, but don’t worry. TVD NYC is giving away a pair of tickets to one lucky reader!

Just leave a comment below telling us how you’re surviving today’s awful heat and why you deserve to go cool off at the MTK Festival. We’ll pick the best comment at noon on Tuesday, July 26 and send you on your wealthy way!

I’m nannying two little girls in a house with no air-conditioning so the only thing helping me beat the heat is daydreaming about 2 days listening to amazing music at the MTK festival!!

Inflatable pool in my living room filled with ice cubes.

sitting  nekkid in my room with my face 2 inches from a fan and singing along to the limousines  in an awesome robot voice….yeah this is  keeping me pretty cool…but it would be a whole lot cooler to be outdoors at the festival with thousands of others singing along with me to alll my favorite songs…oh man!

My methods of keeping cool have been inspired by some songs of the bands performing at MTK. I’ve been laying in “Hospital Beds” drinking “Horchata,” while trying to catch the breeze of “Four Winds,” avoiding the harsh sunny “Daylight.” I deserve to cool off at the MTK Festival because I’m no “Moneygrabber” and I wanna stay nice and cool with my “Tenderoni.”

After working all day in the hot hot heat, I came home to enjoy an ice cold corona on my birthday while listening to my girl ellie goulding.

my boyfriend licks my face and i turn towards the wind!! it would work better if it was the East Hampton ocean breeze with a kick ass soundtrack!!!

My methods of staying cool involve hibernation. After I come back from work, I immediately collapse onto the floor and stay there for half an hour. People might think I fainted or died if they didn’t know me, but to those who know me well, it’s normal behavior. Then, when I have awoken from my homeostasis, I stay inside my apartment all day, never daring to touch the outside world unless it’s under 90 degrees.

I deserve to cool off at MTK because I have no more friends due to staying in hibernation. And I’m beginning to look like a creepy computer geek who stays in their mom’s basement. I need a tan, I need to go out and embrace the “real world” and the only thing that can drag me out of my hibernation is MTK Festival.

No need to fight off the heat, better to relinquish and enjoy the summer while listening to some amazing tunes. What’s better than sunshine and Vampire Weekend? Nothing.

going to the fire fire hydrant while little kids are playing and pushing them off.. then when the cops come I act like I was trying to stop them … and then i walk awake while doing my evil laugh  “Mwahahahaahhaha”.  nah i just took cold cold showers (bc my hot water doesn’t work) and stood under a fan (bc i don’t have ac) while listen to mtk playlist bc it keeps my sou/mind cool ! 🙂
