Given the response to last month’s A Charlie Brown Christmas vinyl giveaway, we’re thinking it’s pretty safe to assume that an inordinately high number of you guys are sitting around your fireplaces, or turntables, spinning this gem right now—or, at least plan to in the coming weeks. And frankly, we can’t blame you. We’re just as hooked on Charlie Brown Season as anyone.
With this in mind, however—District of Columbia, Los Angeles—we thought we’d lure you from your comfy confines to share Charlie Brown Season at 2 of our favorite record stores on both the East and West Coasts.
Next Friday night (12/14), Washington, DC’s Som Records and LA’s Touch Vinyl will be hosting A Charlie Brown Christmas Listening Party in celebration of not just the season, but also Vince Guaraldi’s Original Soundtrack’s rerelease this year on some seasonally festive green vinyl. (It’s a beauty – trust us.)
At West LA’s Touch Vinyl, who just opened their doors this past July—and who at the time we profiled here—tells us DJs, food, and “adult sodas” will be provided, and they will have limited copies of the album available for purchase. The needle hits the LP at 7:30 pm. RSVP at the Facebook invite here.
DC’s Som Records will also have limited copies of the album available for purchase and plan to spin the LP randomly all evening. Look for the TVD HQ team to be about with seasonally festive green bottles of “adult sodas” for the asking.
