The Right Now release Gets Over You on 4/10, perform in-store at Dusty Groove 4/13

Chicago soul outfit, The Right Now, are preparing to officially release their sophomore LP, Gets Over You tomorrow, 4/10. The group, fronted by powerful leading lady, Stefanie Berecz, breathes new life into the torch, soul, and R&B traditions.

If Joss Stone fronted Fitz and the Tantrums, you might end up with something like what The Right Now have accomplished on this record. For an excellent representation of the style you can expect to hear throughout Gets Over You, check out the lead track, “Half As Much”.

You can find all of the details about this week’s in-store performance at Dusty Groove, as well as where you can pick up a copy of Gets Over You, below.

The Right Now has performed over 200 shows in the last two years with matching suits, a choreographed horn section, and of course Berecz’s killer voice over the ensemble’s swinging grooves. They will be heading out on the road for a slew of shows across the Midwest and East Coast, so if those are your stomping grounds, take a look below for the upcoming April/May tour dates.

You can pre-order your copy of Gets Over You on vinyl for just $20 through The Right Now’s online store. Plus, while you are there, grab yourself a copy of the debut record, Carry Me Home, on 12”, as well as their two 45 releases.
