What’s In Store: DC Record Fair DJ List Revealed

For those of you who have never attended the DC Record Fair, now is your change to redeem yourself. Maybe one of the many awesome vendors selling LPs will inspire your much-procrastinated Halloween costume.

The DC Record Fair is brought to you by Som Records, DC Soul Recordings, and us!

The DC Record Fair is heading just over the Key Bridge again to Artisphere in Arlington, VA. The fair will take over the gallery space on Sunday, October 23rd, with 30+ vendors from up and down the East Coast augmented by our ever-revolving Guest DJs, plus food and drinks!

Artisphere (1101 Wilson Boulevard) is two blocks from the Rosslyn Metro. Free parking in the building garage (entrance on N. Kent Street) on weekends with validation, obtained at the front desk.

11-Noon – $5 admission (early bird)
12-5PM – $2 admission

We have the inside scoop on the DJs who will be entertaining you for the duration of the event.

12-1: Jim Byers, Host of WPFW 89.3FM’s The Latin Flavor (Sundays 6pm to 8pm). Classic salsa will spice up the start of the fair, along with latin boogaloo and ’50s and ’60s RnB.

1-2: Denman Anderson, No Love Lost DJ. From dark, brooding coldwave to mindblowing thrash metal, every day is Halloween for this not-to-be-missed DJ.

2-3: John Kelly, Washington Post. In his column, he hopes to show you the Washington that you know and take you places you don’t know. Now he’ll do that with his record collection—who knows what we’ll discover?

3-4: Marc Eisenberg, DC Music Salon. Meeting in the new Shaw Library, Marc’s DC Music Salon discusses everything music-related from Bob Dylan to Go Go. It’s all about getting smart people in a room to have a conversation. Saturday, hear songs from a selection of Marc’s favorite LPs and track him down after his set to learn more about the DC Music Salon.

4-5: John Thornley, US RoyaltyDC’s hearthrob vocalist from much-loved band US Royalty offers us a sample of current favorites.
