Grooves Shared:
Ryan Muldoon of
Revolt of the Apes

Since we’re all a tight-knit music-lovin’ community, we created this segment so that some of our good friends who are doing good things in the industry of human happiness could share the records that they’ve been diggin’ on lately.

This edition of Grooves Shared comes from Ryan Muldoon, the super-evolved (or is that “devolved”) apeman in charge of the fantastic psychedelic music website Revolt of the Apes. Headquartered in a small town in central Virginia, Ryan created his site to spread the word of Austin Psych Fest 2010. It has since continued with content directly related to the bands and artists involved, content tangentially related to the bands and artists involved, and content not at all related to the bands and artists involved.

Revolt of the Apes practices PMA (along with other ritualistic diversions) – meaning Ryan endeavors to write only about the music and art that he enjoys. I’m happy to follow this twisted ape right down the ol’ rabbit hole!

And now on to Ryan’s selections of 5 things he’s jamming to lately.

GNOD – “Tron” from the album, Chaudelande Vol. 1

THE THIRD BARDO – “I’m Five Years Ahead of My Time” from the EP, I’m Five Years Ahead of My Time + 5

WHITE HILLS – “Song of Everything” from the album, Frying On This Rock

BLACK TEMPEST – “Uncommon” NOT from the album, Proxima, but killer nonetheless

WYMOND MILES – “Hidden Things Are Asking You To Find Them” from the EP, Earth Has Doors
