If you could have a record of any band whose name is synonymous with destroying fruit, which would it be? The Smashing Pumpkins, of course!
This ’90s necessity of a band hit it big ten years ago with the monumental success of Siamese Dream. This album, one of the most influential of the ’90s, along with 1991’s Gish, are re-released today on vinyl. It is remastered and reissued for the first time, so we’re here today to celebrate such an occasion and want you to get in on the good vibes! We have in our possession the 180-gram, double gatefold 2xLP of Siamese Dream and are more than thrilled to be giving it away.
With a rollercoaster past of up and downs and a distinct voice that has lasted throughout the years, The Smashing Pumpkins have had their roots in the ground for over two decades. Their discography runs through a string of commercially successful and critically acclaimed albums that defined their sound and place in rock history. Siamese Dream gave way to the band’s breakout success with tracks like the indie-scene-mocking “Cherub Rock” to the sentimental “Disarm” and not-so-subtly ironic grunge rock anthem “Today.”
Because you can never hear too much of Billy Corgan’s crooning, we’re giving away the LP of this noteworthy album! To put yourself in the running, tell us succinctly why “today is the greatest day [you’ve] ever known.”
Today is the greatest because a new Fly-Lo came out on Soundcloud, and since we’re in between Thanksgiving and Christmas, I don’t have to prep for either right now.
The winner will be chosen one week from today on Tuesday, December 6th, and must have a mailing address in North America.
