TVD’s 10 Weeks of Record Store Day Vinyl Giveaways:
Red Hot Chili Peppers, I’m With You

While I’m With You is the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ tenth studio album, it is especially noteworthy because it is also the band’s first release to feature new guitarist Josh Klinghoffer, who took over the guitar reigns after John Frusciante’s departure in 2009.

Although this isn’t the first time RHCP has made a change to its line-up, lead singer Anthony Kiedis told MTV News that Klinghoffer has contributed to the progression of the band and helped the members push their signature sound, saying, “He’s definitely a big part of why …it’s different person, different chemistry, different experience, different era… We’re a new band.”

Overall, I’m With You, released last August on Warner Bros. Records, received generally positive reviews, with critics saying that the addition of Klinghoffer restored life to the veteran band, who have sold over 65 million albums worldwide. Additionally, I’m With You helped RHCP nab a Grammy nomination for Best Rock Album.

The reinvented RHCP will be hitting the road this spring, but before you check them out live, take a shot at winning a copy of the Rick Rubin-produced album that we currently have for the taking.

For your chance to win, give us your choice of the band that underwent a major reinvention, only to be as successful—if not more—than its original incarnation.

I’m gonna go with Van Halen just to piss some of you guys off.

We’ll select a winner with a North American mailing address a week from today, Thursday, March 15th.
