TVD Vinyl Giveaway:
Civil Twilight, Holy Weather

It isn’t too often you come across a trio of South African musicians that make some pretty kickass rock music like Civil Twilight. In fact, I don’t personally listen to any other South African bands. (No offense, South Africa.) Do you?

If you’re not already familiar with Civil Twilight, lucky for you, we’ve got a way to expand your musical repertoire with a vinyl giveaway of the band’s latest album, Holy Weather, on clear vinyl.

Having only been released last March, Holy Weather has already appeared as the #1 Billboard New Artists Alternative Album Chart and #3 on the Heatseekers Chart. Pretty impressive. They have also been featured heavily in press lately, including Entertainment Weekly, MTV Buzzworthy, ArtistDirect, Alternative Addiction, The Audio Perv, Alternative Press, and AOL Spinner.

To catch up on the craze, you can catch them on tour, including their show tonight at the Rock and Roll Hotel in DC. They’ll also be hitting the road soon with MuteMath.

If you want a chance to win the prize, tell us in the comments below, your favorite non-American band. Be creative with this one!

To be really obscure here, there’s a band from the island of Green Turtle Cay in the Bahamas called The Gully Roosters that I listen to on a weekly basis.

A winner with a North American mailing address will be chosen next Friday, August 10th.
