TVD Vinyl Giveaway: Vampire Weekend, Modern Vampires of
the City
(Signed!)

Formed by then-college students Ezra Koenig, Rostam Batmanglij, Chris Baio, and Chris Tomson in 2006, Vampire Weekend has come a long way since then. With two albums, one Grammy-nominated, under their belts, the New York band is gearing up to release their third album.

Fresh off of a successful visit to the UK, where they played a session for BBC Radio 1 and sold out a show at the Troxy music hall, Vampire Weekend is back to the states to promote the release of their upcoming album, Modern Vampires of the City. Following its release, Vampire Weekend are touring both North America and Europe this summer and fall.

The album won’t be released until May 14, but we’ve got our hands on a special Vampire Weekend Prize Pack. This prize pack includes an autographed vinyl copy of the album and a Vampire Weekend tote bag! We’d really love to keep this prize for ourselves, but we’re giving it away.

Modern Vampires of the City will feature twelve brand new tracks:

1. Obvious Bicycle
2. Unbelievers
3. Step
4. Diane Young
5. Don’t Lie
6. Hannah Hunt
7. Everlasting Arms
8. Finger Back
9. Worship You
10. Ya Hey
11. Hudson
12. Young Lion

The four-piece recently released an official lyric video for “Ya Hey,” which can be found on their Vevo channel. Also featured there is Vampire Weekend’s American Express’s UNSTAGED Performance at NYC’s Roseland Ballroom.

To win the Vampire Weekend Modern Vampires of the City Prize Pack, name your favorite song by the band. Mine would have to be “Giving Up the Gun,” especially since the music video featured an interesting story line in addition to an all-star cast including Jake Gyllenhaal, Lil Jon, M83, and Joe Jonas.

One winner with a North American address will be chosen a week from today on Tuesday, May 14.
