UK Artist of the Week: GILLBANKS

London-based GILLBANKS, aka Sam Gillbanks, has just released his latest track “Tiffany,” a grunge and Britpop-infused beauty.

“Tiffany” begins quietly with some simple guitar plucking and Sam’s distinctly English vocal taking centre stage. As the track builds toward the chorus, more jagged sounds come into play with the help of some wonderfully distorted guitar riffs and pounding drum beats. The song uses the power of crescendos and diminuendos perfectly to create a dynamically flawless track.

GILLBANKS, originally from Falmouth, now lives in London where he performs regularly with his live band which includes Hugo Heaverman (drums), Henry Nicholson (guitar, vocals), and Joe Morris (bass).

Having already released the rather brilliant single “Anxious?” earlier this year, GILLBANKS is now ready to let the world hear the rest of his debut EP, “Lend Me Your Skin.”

“Lend Me Your Skin” is out on November 27th via Tusk Records.
