TVD Premiere:
The Anatomy of Frank,
“La Llorona”

“‘La Llorona’ is one of the only songs I’ve written that truly haunts me.”

“Every time I play it, I can taste the claustrophobic desperation that was there when I wrote it—it came around sometime between a trip to South America and this awful frat rape incident in Charlottesville, where I lived at the time.

There’s a lot of myself in the song as well, and that makes it all the more troubling to me I guess. But I think it’s a feeling we can all relate to. Most of us have followed someone down the well at some point, and hopefully we’ve made it out and grown from it.”
Kyle Woolard

The Anatomy of Frank, a three piece indie-rock band from Charlottesville, VA is the first band to record an album on every continent on the globe and have recently shared a stage with David Bazan and Kishi Bashi among others. Their new album South America was recorded in Ecuador last year and arrives on store shelves on September 1, 2017.
