Earth- Angels of Darkness, Demons of Light CD (Southern Lord) Brand new studio album, basically a sequel to Bees Made Honey, this time only using a core band of 4 members and featuring Karl Blau on bass. Very nice spaghetti western sounding songs that unfold slowly and cyclically, we do miss the presence of Steve Moore’s piano though.

Ant Trip Ceremony- 24 Hours LP Rare 1968 private press pyschedelic record, originally issued in only 300 copies.
Chapman, Michael- Fully Qualified Survivor CD (Light in the Attic) Super pretty and mellow folk rock for a lazy stoned afternoon. Really nice reissue from the ever-reliable guys at Light in the Attic.
Josefus- Dead Man LP Vinyl reissue of the debut album from Austin’s own Josefus. A must for fans of early ’70s underground psychedelic rock.

Techno / Electronic
BVDub- Tribes at the Temple of Silence CD (Home Normal UK) aka Brock Van Wey delivering another minimal dubby ambient piece of beauty. Definitely subtle and rewarding only over time.
Deaf Center- Owl Splinters CD (Type UK) Nice DEEPLY atmospheric and dark pulsing electro-acoustics from the duo of Erik Skodvin and Otto Totland.
Illium Sphere- Dreamstealin 12″ (Tectonic UK) Dubstep with a dash of hip-hop, out of Manchester.
Rainbow Arabia– Boys & Diamonds CD (Kompakt) Debut full-length album by Los Angeles based duo with Butchy Fuego (Pit Er Pat, Boredoms, MIA) contributing arrangements and beats in places.
