Since the beginning, I’ve wanted a TVD Chicago.
Of course Newsweek just proclaimed Chicago hip, President Obama used to live there! Another famous transplant is Kanye West, who grew up amidst Chi-town’s amazing jazz, blues, soul, and hip hop scenes. Other notable residents include Liz Phair, R. Kelly, Curtis Mayfield, Lupe Fiasco, Billy Corgan, Common, Andrew Bird, and the eminent Nat King Cole. The city is also credited with being the birthplace of house music.
Besides all the obvious superior music creds, I also just kind of wanted a TVD CHI because
- TVD Cleveland was lonely out in the Mid-West by itself
- I was obsessed with Ferris Bueller’s Day Off as a child
- Da Bears and Da Bulls are pretty cool, too
Today, we welcome the Windy City as our fifteenth city in the TVD Network. Now we have an even better reason to go to Lolla and Pitchfork, along with the Chicago Blues and Jazz Fests!
