…a little hair of the dog.

It’s feeling a little like January in these parts.

Y’know…a month after Christmas when the holiday season is decidedly over and you’re back at work and your normal routine with little to look forward to. Except more work. Maybe a blizzard, but little of consequence.

And so here it is . . . one month after Record Store Day. The exclusive vinyl’s out and snapped up. The stores have seen their long lines come and go and seemingly we’re back to normal. Christmas/Record Store Day has come and gone for another year.

But here at TVD, we ain’t having it and we’re hardly complacent. Plus we need an excuse to give away more records in the spirit of all that is good and physical. (Physical product, that is.)

All this week we’re fighting our and your Record Store Day hangovers with free vinyl courtesy of our pals at Columbia Records who have donated a host of vinyl to put in the hands of one of you per day over the next five days.

Vinyl: consistently better than water and Tylenol when fighting a nasty hangover.

First up in our hangover squelching salvo: The above exclusive Adele RSD 10″ of “Rolling in the Deep” recorded live at World Cafe!

Now, despite a bunch of rules and regs we’ve been asked to link to, entering to win the vinyl during our TVD/RSD Hangover Week Giveaways is a snap. Simply leave us a response in the comments section to this post as to why you deserve to win the vinyl, and the most convincing of the bunch will find Adele in his or her mailbox!

All winners will be chosen on May 27, 2011 to give each of you plenty of time to be thoroughly convincing.

Official rules can be found right here.
