Bringing it on home.
TVD Ticket Giveaway: Yeasayer at the 9:30 Club, 11/14

By infusing a mix of pop, rock, Middle Eastern and African music, folk, and dub, Yeasayer creates an eclectic blend that the band perfectly describes as “Middle Eastern-psych-snap-gospel.”

Since Yeasayer’s emergence onto the music scene in 2007 with the release of their critically-acclaimed debut All Hour Cymbals and then their sophomore smash Odd Blood, they have continued to share their cultural mash-ups around the world.

Yeasayer will start their North American tour in sync with the release of their upcoming new album Fragrant World on August 21st, including a stop at the 9:30 Club on Wednesday, November 14th. It will be the place to be in DC come November, and here’s your chance at a pair of free tickets to experience the musical spectrum of Yeasayer.

Remember, DC, this week we celebrate you with ticket giveaways that will be announced every day this week, including one each day from 9:30 Club for recently announced shows that have just gone on sale. Don’t miss your chance to catch some amazing performances.

For a chance to win a pair of tickets to see Yeasayer at the 9:30 Club, tell us your other favorite band that bends the norms of musical genres.

The winner will be chosen at noon on Wednesday, June 13th.

Well Beck has been the blendiest of blenders of the last 20 years but more recently maybe Active Child or Bear in Heaven.  Also, in the jam scene, no one is more diverse than Umphrey’s McGee.
