Commonwealth Lounge, Hibbleton Gallery and Burger Records are bringing you a post-Valentine’s Day treat. Tonight, the first 100 attendees will receive a special 22-song “breakup” compilation with favorite picks from DJs, such as Peanut Butter Wolf, Toe Jamz, Sean Burger (of Burger Records), Midnight Snack, Bobby Soul and Jesse “The Body” Latour.
Zach Nelson of Dagha Bloom and Bobby Soul of Boogaloo Assassins are the ones behind the idea of It’s Not You, It’s Me. The record features tracks for the brokenhearted but not in a “I’m going to jump off a bridge kinda way” so don’t worry. You’ve got “Anti Love Song” (by Bett Davis), “One More Minute” (by “Weird Al” Yankovic) and “Impossible Love” ( by Daniel Johnston), to name a few. The cover art, which you can see above, was designed by Anthony Bach (Hibbleton).
