Dave Stryker Performs at Chickie Wah Wah

The Jazz Educator’s Network is in town holding their second annual conference at the Roosevelt Hotel. For local music lovers, this means that there are a lot of well-known musicians in New Orleans. Tomorrow night, the legendary Dave Liebman plays at Snug Harbor.

For fans of jazz guitar, don’t miss Dave Stryker at Chickie Wah Wah tonight. He is playing an early set at 8 PM with a local backing band featuring Martin Masakowski on bass, Michael Pellera on keys and Paul Thibodeaux on drums. Stryker spent over 13 years with Stanley Turrentine and he has also worked with Jack McDuff, Kevin Mahogany and Eliane Elias. He has 20 CD’s out as a leader, and has been a sideman on over 50 others.
