Tonight at the Blue Nile, the Open Ears music series presents the latest ensemble from the prolific guitarist and composer. Freilich plays in so many different bands it must be hard for him to even keep track.
This group features players who are on the cutting edge of the jazz scene in New Orleans. Expect to hear Aurora Nealand on alto and soprano saxophones, Dan Oestreicher on baritone saxophone, Jeff Albert on trombone, James Singleton on bass and Doug Garrison on drums.
The Open Ears music series takes place in the balcony room of the Frenchmen Street club. There is no cover charge, but consider tipping the band.
