Well, one of NYC’s favorite indie record shops, Other Music, will soon launch its own record imprint with the Mississippi label, Fat Possum.
And it’s really cool to see that their first release will be from Brooklyn band, Ex Cops, who visited my East Village Radio show in July 2011 for a live performance and chat.
Other Spring releases for the new Other Music Recording Co. include the debut solo record from Shintaro Sakamoto, former frontman of the cult Japanese psych group Yura Yura Teikoku, as well as a full-length from Ex Cops.
