Needle Drop:
Crash Island,
“Howl (Come On!)”

The Artic Monkeys were obviously onto something with their quintuple platinum debut album Whatever People Say I Am, That’s What I’m Not.

With their recent output, the boys have purposefully drifted away from the sharp edged sound that has now been passed on and perfected by London’s Crash Island. Combining whip-smart lyrics with bouncing hyper disco rock, the newly formed four piece serve up hot UK dance music for the indie rock crowd.

Their surprisingly steady output (since their inception in 2012) has led to three EP’s and finally a new single, “Howl (Come On!)” which showcases a huge leap in their songwriting and showmanship.

The band’s excellent grasp on mixing vocals with drums adds to the urgency of the rapid fire track which delivers some glossy insight into London’s night life. After all, folks in the states are curious about the lives of young North England clubbers. Why not hear it from the horse’s mouth?
