TVD Radar: The Sisters of Mercy, First And Last And Always 40th anniversary 4LP reissue in stores 7/4

VIA PRESS RELEASE | To celebrate the 40th anniversary of The Sisters Of Mercy’s debut album, First And Last And Always, a 4LP black and red marble-coloured vinyl set will be released on 4 July 2025.

Available to pre-order now, it includes the original album alongside the three EPs that preceded its release—”Body & Soul,” “Walk Away,” and “No Time To Cry.” Each EP features non-album bonus tracks. The main album will also be available as a standalone LP in its original gatefold jacket with printed inner bag and on black and red marble-coloured vinyl.

Formed in Leeds by guitarist Gary Marx and vocalist Andrew Eldritch in 1980, First And Last And Always was released in March 1985. It was the culmination of five years of independent releases that saw them build up a large cult following.

Their first release with Warner (whom they signed to in 1984) reached number 14 in the UK Album Charts. At this point, the band featured Wayne Hussey on guitar and Craig Adams on bass, both of whom would later leave the band to form The Mission.
