This is the first UK release from the hotly tipped Canadian quartet Braids.
The album Lemonade includes this track and is released this week on Kanine Records, former home to Grizzly Bear, and current label of Surfer Blood amongst others.
We are told the band are four best friends (Raphaelle Standell-Preston: lead vocals & guitar: Austin Tufts: drums & vocals: Katie Lee: keys & vocals: Taylor Smith: bass, guitar, drums & vocals) who formed in their last year of High School in Calgary, Alberta. Convincing one another to skip university, they stayed in the garage all year and practiced obsessively, even while their fingers froze during the cold prairie winters.
