Norwich based Olympians only just released their single “Filling My Heart” this week but we’ve instantly fallen in love with them and it seems the UK indie press has as well. They’ve already got reputable websites singing their praises and comparisons have been made to alt-indie counterparts Spring Offensive and Adults.
They call their sound math pop and this can be felt in the single and on their forthcoming EP “Adventure Gun,” which blends angular indie moments with a pop edge—perfection. “Adventure Gun” is out on April 29th and whilst math pop may be a broad term for their sound, they are actually influenced by the more angular end of the alternative scene with Don Caballero being an influence.
This four piece have their melodies set to stun with a tour planned soon, the recent single release, and their fantastic EP ready to drop. Anticipation is high and Olympians’ fresh, captivating sounds will not disappoint.
