The Single Girl: Shambles In A Husk, “Cowboy Doom”

Rising from the ashes of Crusades and The Darien Venture, two bands who gained critical acclaim in their own right, Shambles In A Husk present their debut single “Cowboy Doom.” The single is a glorious concoction of the best of Refused and Adebesi Shank.

Opening with a killer riff that explodes into a cacophony of noise, Shambles In A Husk’s statement of intent packs a punch. As “Cowboy Doom” crescendos, bringing us higher and higher towards an explosive finish, the band slows things down, breaking into one of the best alt-rock choruses you’ll hear this year.

With this single, Shambles In A Husk showcase their supreme musicianship, walking a fine line between melodic post-hardcore and head-banging metal—one of the most exciting new bands to emerge this year.

“Cowboy Doom” is the first in series of single releases this side of 2014. The band plan to release three more, all with videos, hopefully culminating in their debut album. Bring it on, we say!
