Totem Terrors’ second album, Hard Science is due out on the 29th June but, in the meantime, they’ve got a live performance video for you to enjoy.
Now, we’re usually quite sceptical when it comes to live video performances by bands—they can be pretty dire—but these guys manage to nail their track “Lies” to the wall by not holding back, and packing their entire performance with a sort of twitching vital energy that makes you want to jump around the bedroom/ livingroom/ office (delete as appropriate).
The song is drenched in new wave sensibilities, channeling the likes of Wire and Big Black. Plus, Max Hicks’s face is hypnotic—and that scream! Well, check it out for yourself.
