UK Artist of the Week: Love Malison

Transport yourself back to the ’90s through the grunge-tinged soundscapes of London’s Love Malison. The four-piece recently released their epic new single “Pseudo,” and we love it so much, we’ve made them our UK Artist of the Week.

Having been formed at the onset of the worldwide pandemic, Love Malison didn’t have the smoothest of starts. Working remotely, they exchanged ideas online and began to create a number of songs they would go onto release after the lockdown.

One of those is “Pseudo.” A scuzzy, grooving alt-rock song that blends the funk-metal of early Faith No More, with the visceral sonics of Deftones and the industrial-influenced rock of Filter. Lyrically, the band take aim at artists who write pseudo-political songs less so for the message and more so for amount of likes they’ll receive on social media.

Love Malison have already made their mark on the London rock scene. Their vociferous live show has seen them build a dedicated fanbase and culminated in the band headlining the prestigious Camden Rocks Festival last month. With more singles to be released this year, we’ll certainly be keeping out eye out for what this exciting band conjure up next.
